Shauna Brown was born and raised in the Northwest. Shauna became passionate about the human body at an early age, laying the framework for where she would direct her career path.
Shauna initially completed her higher education at Chapman University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations. During that time, she worked in many different health arenas all focusing on the same concept that health is more than skin deep. After graduating from Chapman she knew she needed to make her passion her career.
She became a Strength & Conditioning Coach (CSCS) in the Bay Area and enrolled in a 10-month Massage Therapy Program to immerse herself with a skill set that impacted her philosophy and approach on the body. She began working with elite professional athletes, endurance athletes, and individuals striving to take their fitness to the next level. While working in these arenas, she recognized the need to pursue further education to provide informed and scientifically sound treatment recommendations to her clients. She moved to Arizona to obtain a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training at Grand Canyon University, simultaneously obtaining her Master’s in Human Movement from A.T. Still University. Shauna completed Balance Body's comprehensive Pilates teacher training courses at Personalized Pilates in Scottsdale and is an Authentic Pilates Union Member.
She previously worked alongside Brett Fischer and supporting staff at Fischer Institute, working with the off-season strength and conditioning programs for their NFL players, as well as providing manual therapy for their NFL, MLB, and physical therapy clients. Shauna was a performance therapist with Altis (previously World Athletics Center), aiding in the manual treatment of Olympic Athletes prior to working as a Licensed Athletic Trainer for the Los Angeles Dodgers spring training facility.
Shauna, as the owner of Unify Health, LLC, provides integrated sessions and classes to her clients. She works for the general population, recently discharged physical therapy patient, pain-management patients, recreational, youth and professional athletes.
Shauna is aimed at educating each client about the role and importance of proper movement training, manual therapy, recovery techniques, nutrition, and self-understanding translates to the essence of overall health and wellness. Goal attainment is achieved through the collaboration of multiple disciplines. Shauna not only looks at how one moves, but the integrity of the systems executing the movement. This seamless integration of modalities and techniques is the foundation for Unify.
